I've always had an interest in photography, but about 2007 I got my first digital camera and my photographic world opened. I had options I hadn't had before. I no longer had to wait for prints to be developed to see how the photos would look. I could see the images I'd just captured and decide there and then whether to keep or discard them. I had immediate access.
Since then my photography has explored a variety of subjects, from weddings and graduations, to baby/family portraits and landscapes. Finally discovering my strengths lay in shooting, live music, album photo shoots and commercial work.
I have had the privilege to have my photographs printed in various local music publications, online and printed media, album covers, and put on display in the National Medi Museum (Bradford), Clotworthy House, Ulster Hall and Belfast City Airport.
It is amazing to think that one photo taken in a split second in time can be the one photo that reminds someone of a person or an event, and it is a privilege for me to be a small part of that memory that will last a lifetime.
"Working in the demanding and hectic environment of a printed monthly music magazine it was a pleasure to work with such a professional. Paul consistently delivered top quality print worthy photos, that not only complimented the written article but also the interesting shots he captured told a story in themselves. I wholeheartedly recommend both the person and the product."
